A day trip

I am sitting nursing a very gassy Jameson while the big kids play with the castle on the floor. I said, "whoa there is a toot factory over here!". To which Mackinna replies with a smile, "Really? Where? That sounds fun, let's go there!"

Jameson at 2 weeks

Jameson had his 2 week check up with Doctor Youth.
Here are his stats:
10 lbs 2 oz- 90%
21.5" (yes according to this he has shrunk since birth)- 87%
Head circumference 14.49"- 76%

He has gained about a pound and a half in a week and a half!  Still not quite up to his brother's birth weight though...

Diary of a busy baby

Jameson is one busy boy!
7/23: Born
7/24: Home from hospital
7/25: Attended first dance competition
7/26: Attended first track meet
7/27: Weight check at Dr's- weighed 8 ozs 10 oz, had lots of visitors (Ward & Jen, Ian & Jessie, Dolly & Auntie, The Dubes)
7/28: Uncle Robby came to visit, went to Tyler's 2nd birthday party
7/30:  First trip to the beach, Kaden's hip hop observation
7/31: Uncle Matt & Aunt Kate Arrive, ballet obeservation
8/2: Second track meet- Mackinna's championship meet (she had 2 PRs)  Observation at lyrical and jazz.
8/3:  Second trip to the beach (with Uncle Matt & Aunt Kate this time), Beach 2 Beacon Kids Fun Run- Just watched... maybe next year he'll participate.
8/4:  Walked Beach 2 Beacon 10K with Mom and Dad, visited Aunt Marylin's and Bampy's
8/5: Went to Freeport and second birthday party (Kaden's friend Alden's)
8/6: First trip to Grandpa's shop
8/7: 2 week check up.  Weighed 10 lbs 2 oz, visited a daycare :(
8/8: Went to Storyland!
8/9: Left for Tennessee
8/10: Arrive in Tennessee, met Grandma & Grandpa Campbell
8/11:  Mom & Dad's 11th Anniversary- spent the day in the Smokey Mountain National Park, visited, Cade's Cove, went out to dinner with Mom & Dad
8/12: Met Great Grandma Price & Aunt Donna Gale, Uncle Bill & Brooke
8/13:  Hiked in the Smokeys with Mommy, did some outlet shopping in Pigeon Forge
8/14: Went to Great Grandma Price's house
8/15:  "Played" in Grandma & Grandpa's pool, left Tennesse
8/16:  Visited the Air & Space Museum, and National Zoo, sleep over at Uncie and Jen's
8/17:  Drove home to Maine, stopped at Ikea

Kaden turns 5- well almost...

Since Baby was due so close to Kaden's birthday, we decided to have his party a little early this year.  His friends came over for a dino bounce house party on June 30th.  Everyone had a blast, but Kaden was a bit confused for a couple weeks, over whether or not he was really 5 yet... Here are a few photos.

It's a Boy!

Yes I know its been 4 weeks and I'm more than a bit delayed in making this post, but we had company for a week and then were in Tennessee for a week- its just been crazy.  It doesn't mean we aren't excited and completely in love with #3!

Jameson Craig Campbell was born at 6:28am on July 23rd.  He was 9 lbs 4 oz and 22 inches long.

My adjusted due date was 7/22 so he was pretty much on time.  I was icing cupcakes for Mackinna's bake sale fundraiser the night of the 22nd and noticed that I'd had a few contractions in the short time it had taken me to ice the cupcakes.  I'd been having contractions for months so hadn't paid too much attention at first, but decided to start timing contractions around 9 that night- and sure enough the were very regularly 4 minutes apart.  I went to bed to try to sleep a little, knowing what was in store.  By 11:30 I couldn't sleep through them anymore.  I called Mom to come stay with the big kids and we got to the hospital a bit after 1:00 am on the 23rd.  Just a few hours later, after a bit of nasty back labor, we met our baby boy.  And eventually named him!  Mom and the kids were at the hospital by 7:15 to see him and though Mackinna had said she wanted a sister, she didn't seem even the slightest big disappointed.

Everyone is doing great, big sister and big brother are in love.  Jameson is adorable and really so good! He's been very busy in his 4 weeks, I'll post all about it... eventually.
