Kaden's sweetheart

I don't think I've shared this yet and its just too cute not to share.  Kaden seems to have fallen in love.  It started with a couple of comments on his classmate Honorae's "pretty curly hair."  Then on Valentine's Day he made her a special valentine, which he hand delivered with pride.  He's been going on an on even more lately about her pretty curly hair, and how one day "she wore it in a curly pony tail with a necklace and earrings."  We aren't sure how she feels about him, but the boy is so stinkin' cute, of course I'd believe she'd be crazy not to be smitten on him too!

Sign of the Times

Kaden is playing with the big lego blocks right now and just built an iPad.  "Look I made an iPad, " he declared with pride.  He's holding it in him arms, with his finger on the screen, pretending to scroll and read and everything!  That is something it think its safe to say wasn't being built out of blocks by children 20 years ago...

Jammie Day!

This week is Catholic Schools Week- which seems to be essentially a spirit week.  Kaden has gotten to do all sorts of fun things, including wear his pajamas to school yesterday.  As we were choosing which to wear and dressing him he looked at me and asked, "Mommy do I have to wear a pull up to school too?"  I had to laugh, but I guess it makes sense, typically when he is in jammies, he is also in a pull up!

He finally decided on a pair, after turning down my suggestion to wear the Halloween ones he really likes, because they had little skeletons on them and he "didn't want to scare Mrs. Barr!"
