Potty at night time?

Kaden got up last night to go to the bathroom! I could believe it. He is such a big boy. His eyes were only barely open and he mumbled "Peeing Mommy" (which does not mean he's actually going right then, but that he needs to go. He has his tenses mixed up)

Mark bought two of the hard bottom tubes from LL Bean. He said they were for the kids... I'm not so sure.

Its January 28th and Mackinna is still listening to Christmas music at nap. She's sticking to the end date of her birthday....

Cinderall production class

Mackinna just completed a theater class at the Childrens' Museum & Theater of Maine. They wrapped up the class with a performance of Cinderella for the parents on Tuesday. Mackinna played the roll of the wicked step sister. She was great! (And the prettiest ugly step sister ever!)

Prince charming tries the glass slipper on Mackinna. Her foot was too big (something tells me this won't be the last time she encounters this situation with shoes) But Prince Charming did say "I'll marry her anyway!"

This is where she was supposed to tell Cinderella to scrub the floors, instead she stood there and looked WICKED, and Cinderella scrubbed anyway. Obviously Wicked Step Sister Mackinna had her trained well.

Big Boy

Kaden has been doing such a great job on the potty. Its been more than a week now since he's had an accident, except for the time he insisted on wearing underpants to nap and slept for nearly 3 hours... As you can see by the photo above, his potty chart is loaded up with stickers! He has been awesome. We are so proud of him, but I will admit I was surprised today when I was told "No!" after I got up to take him to the bathroom after he announced he needed to go. He insisted on doing it by himself! I wasn't even allowed in the bathroom. A couple of times he has told us he wanted to pull up and down his own pants, "Just like Kenna do it!" But at least we were allow in the bathroom with him, aparently those days are gone!

What a wonderful frog

My Gram died last Friday. She had a pretty huge collection of frogs,

from which my grandfather pulled out the stuffed ones for the kids.
Last night at my parents they each picked theirs. Kaden chose the one
that sings What a Wonderful world. Mackinna is sitting eating
breakfast and between bites pushing the play button so that the frog
has been at it for about 10 consecutive times now. I wonder how old
these batteries are?

Updates

Mackinna is still listening to Christmas music at nap time.

And as for Kaden's strange sleepy time friends- Yesterday he brought a little toy dirt bike to nap with him. Today it was Bear, Tigger, Christmas "Mick" Mouse, and two dinos-- both to nap & bed. All of this in addition to the stand by snuggie.

Nap Time Music

Its January 6th and Mackinna is still insisting on the Christmas music mix for her nap time music rather than the previously LOVED Disney Princess mix. I'm willing to tolerate for another couple of days, but if summer comes and she's still not willing to give it up, I think I will go crazy!
