Its been a while and much has happened that I have yet to chronicle, including Mackinna's 6th birthday! It actually fell at the tail end of Feb vacation so she celebrate at school with her friends the Friday before break, which also happened to be pajama day! It was very exciting for all. Her classmates made her a lovely book and video and she brought in a special snack- rainbow cupcakes- to share.

I forgot to take a picture of the cute cupcakes before I sent them in, but did later snap one of slightly less pretty "stay at home cupcakes."
Mackinna wrapped up her acro class and we got to go to the final one to observe. She was great. I can't believe the progress she made in the 6 week workshop. She can't wait to take another one in the summer.

The the Sunday before her birthday Hen had a dance party at Drouin. This was her first "friends" birthday party and boy was she excited. The first hour would be a dance class with Miss Tiffany and the second hour we'd do cake and presents and a pinata in another classroom. The birthday girl requested a cake "like a little wedding cake with ballet slippers on top." So that is what she got! We also made ballerina and #6 cookies. We made tutus for all her friends and got them water bottles in case they got thirsty during dance class.

Everyone had a blast. When we got home, Kaden declared, "That sure was a really fun party, Mackinna!" They both danced and played hard and were so tired they fell asleep on the couch not long after returning home.
Then on Hen's actual birthday we went to Boston to see Toy Story 3 on Ice. It was a great show and an awesome way to round out 2 full weeks of birthday festivities!
