Kaden liked to help himself to the candy. He tried taking multiple handfuls.

Happy Halloween
Kaden in his pumpkin sweater, eating lunch off his pumpkin plate and drinking his milk out of his pumpkin cup (until he tipped it and poured it all over his tray!)

Sleeping beauties
Dylan napped in the crib this afternoon so Kaden and Mackinna cuddled together in a little bed on the floor. How sweet are they?

Spotted boy
Kaden has broken out in a nasty spotted rash, apparently a reaction to his MMR vaccine at his appointment last week. He also got the chicken pox vaccine so initially I was thinking he had actually gotten chicken pox, but the Dr thinks it looks more like MMR. Luckily it doesn't seem to phase him too much. He's got a little fever and looks a bit like he just played paintball and lost. We were thinking of having the kids pictures done on Friday. I hope the ones on his face at least clear up by then.

A Loss Isn't Always a Loss!
TN lost last night, actually it wasn't even close. With all this losing I have learned a valuable lesson as a father and thats that I'd rather see my favorite teams lose every game if it means seeing my kids have as much fun as Mackinna did tailgating and going to the game last night. I love ORANGE and ROCKY TOP but I love this girl so much more!

Rocky Top
Mackinna has always liked Rocky Top but tonight when we entered Neyland Stadium and she heard and saw 104,000 other fans and the Pride of the Southland Band singing Rocky Top she cheered like crazy! I think orange and Rocky Top have moved into a new stratosphere for Mackinna after tonight.
The Vol Walk w/Uncle Matt
Two hours before every TN game it is a tradition for the coaches and players to walk to the stadium through a sea of Vols fans, UT cheerleaders, and band members. Mackinna took it all in with a birds eye view from Uncle Matt's shoulders.
Rocky Top, Smokey, and Uncie
Mackinna spent most of her day being crazy with her uncles. Her and Uncie walked through the crowds singing Rocky Top at the top of their lungs, cheering with her pom poms and her singing Smokey!
Some Quiet Tailgating Time w/Grandma
Mackinna found some quiet time during the craziness of tailgating to
read some of her books with Grandma.

Puddle Jumper
Here is the plane Mackinna and I took from Detroit to TN. It was kind of like flying in a kite with all the turbulance last night... Despite all the swaying, feelings of weightlessness, and bumps Mackinna never complained.
Rocky Top Tennessee
Mackinna and I are on our way to TN this weekend for the Tenn vs. Bama
football game... She is so excited! Here she is waiting for the
shuttle bus to the terminal @ Manchester airport, she couldn't believe
the bus didn't have seat belts.

On your head
Kuma
Kuma was losing her battle with Kidney failure and sadly we decided to put her down yesterday. She was a good little girl who had a rough time the past few months, but she will be missed.
After her last breakfast of scrambled eggs and chicken, she posed for a few final pictures while we said goodbye. Mackinna said she's going to miss her, but she's glad Kuma will be feeling better and will get to see GG and Pop in heaven, and chase lots of bunnies.

15 month check up
Kaden had his 15 month check up this afternoon. He was crazy. It was a struggle to get him to sit still for even a moment. He was opening cupboards and draws, hiding Mark's keys and just moving constantly, but we were able to hold him down for his exam and FOUR shots.
Here are his stats:
Height: 34.25" this is actually off the growth chart but they are calling it 99%
Weight: 27lbs 9oz - 86th%
Head: 49.5 cm- 96th%
Mackinna at 15 months-
Height: 32"- 90th%
Weight: 25lbs- 75th-90th%
Head: 48.5cm- not sure about % for that... probably pretty high, she's always had a big head.

Mackinna's children
Today when I was doing Mackinna's hair at "Christine's Beauty Salon" we were making small talk and I asked her if she had any children. She said yes- four, two big girls and two babies. I was surprised to hear the names of the older girls-- Peedee & Deeder. I have not idea where she comes up with this stuff.
Peaks Island
We took the ferry out to Peak's Island last weekend. It was another beautiful fall day in Maine. Mackinna slept for much of our walk around the island, but the rest of us had fun.
Bucksport
The day after Sarah & Ruddley's wedding we hung around in Bucksport. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.
The kids & me at Fort Knox
The view from the Penobscott Narrows Observation tower. It was very cool, if you are ever in Bucksport, I recommend making the stop.

How cute is she when she actually lets me take her picture? I entered both of these in the Gap casting call.Kaden & Daddy walking on the trail along the river, checking out the train.

Sarah's wedding
We put Mackinna's hair in rollers. At first it was so cool, then she hated it, then when her hair was curly it was all she could talk about. She's still asking me on random Tuesdays to curl her hair now.
Mackinna, Sarah & Maddie- look how delighted Mackinna is. This is the first time she was able to see & talk to her Sarah.

Our little ballerina
We had an observation week at Mackinna's dance class earlier this month. Its amazing to see how far she's come.
Cousins
So here I go posting old pictures... sorry its taken so long. The iPhone has made it so easy to do mobile posts, I think I've gotten spoiled.
A couple of weekends ago we tried very hard to get a nice picture for Mom of her three grandkids. Believe it or not these are some of the best ones I got...maybe next time.

Boy scouts
I have lots of pictures to post, but for now I will at least share a funny little Mackinna story...
We were at Shaw's over the weekend and the boy scouts were selling popcorn outside. I told Mackinna she could get some on the way out. She was going to be spending the night at Grandma & Grandpa's while we were at Nathan's wedding so it was perfect. She could bring it with her. Well of course in Mackinna fashion she couldn't decide which kind. Those boys were so patient with her. Finally she got her popcorn and paid. When we got back to the car she looks at me very seriously and says, "Mommy, those boys were wearing ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly clothes" (that's right 4 uglies) I laughed & agreed, but explained they were uniforms. I love her sense of style.
