Toe Jam
Mackinna's interest in toe jam, has become a full fledge obsession. Its weird and kinds of gross, but its her newest thing. Not only has been requesting that Mark, Kaden and I remove our socks so she can check for toe jam, but this morning I had to ask her to stop picking at her own toe jam at the breakfast table. She's tickled pink when she finds some, and sulks when she doesn't. I couldn't make this stuff up if I wanted...

Its political
Mackinna has suddenly decided that she loves the news- particularly the weather. She asks that we put it on, and she sits and really listens. She'll say to me, "Mommy, he just said it snows on Thursday" or "oohh its going to be sunny, maybe we can go for a walk." Well this morning I had the Today Show on, but wasn't really paying attention. Suddenly I hear her singing, "Bachabama, bachabama, bachabama" over and over again. It took me a minute, but when I looked up and saw a story on Barack Obama on the TV, then I understood what she was chanting. To her I'm sure it just sounds silly, especially when you say it one hundred consecutive times. It really got quite annoying, I begged her to stop, finally she did.

Kaden's new trick
Kaden learned how to clap last week. Here's a video of him jumping then clapping. What a self promoter!

It is confirmed... she's a Campbell
Mackinna and I made some potato stamps yesterday. We were working on some shamrock St Patrick's day cards whenshe said to me, "I not like these shamrocks Mommy. Let's do orange St Patrick's Day!" Silly me, I was using green paint! If there was ever any doubt if she was really a Campbell, it seems she bleeds orange like the rest of them.

Naked Baby
Mommy's helper
Yesterday when we came home from the grocery store, I quickly dropped the bags in the kitchen and went to change Kaden's overflowing diaper. When I returned to the kitchen, I found Mackinna emptying the bags and lining the contents up in a perfect line on the kitchen floor. She said she was helping me put the groceries away, which is great because I always keep them in a line in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Disney Princess ice oven cupcakes
Mackinna's Uncle Shawn & Aunt Jill got her a Disney Princess oven for her birthday. Its much like the easy bake oven, but this somehow "bakes" cupcakes with cool air from an ice cube tray under it. She loves this gift and has been pretty excited to use it, so finally last night we made cupcakes. Boy were they delicious. Mark & I had the pleasure of eating them, and we can hardly wait till the next batch. Don't they just look so good?
