Naptime

Today when I was getting Kaden ready to go down for a nap he looked at me and asked, "Nurse?"  I don't know where this came from since its been months now since he nursed, but I told him no he couldn't nurse because Mommy's milk was all gone, but he could have a cup of milk, then he asked why a couple of times and we moved on.  We put on his pull up, I turned out the light and turned on his music, and he climbed in to the rocking chair.  At this point, he looks at me and says, "Bell But now Mommy... milks gone."  He's totally right- he replaced nursing with sticking his finger in my belly button, but somehow it surprised me that he was keenly aware that this is what he had done.

Tractor!

Attentive audience

They love Annie- they are even singing along.

Lisbon high school present Annie

After a power outage cancelled last night's performance we drove
nearly an hour again today to Lisbon. The kids are loving it and
Mackinna even dressed like Annie. She told me last she needs "orphan
clothes" though!

Haircut

Kaden got his haircut last Monday- which he loves to have done, but this time I guess he was exceptionally pleased with how he looked.  A week and a half later he still panics and yells, "haircut," while touching his hair, if the wind blows it out of place.  He won't let me rub his hair when we are cuddling, for fear of messing up his haircut and pulling his sweatshirts over his head is still a roll of the dice- very often hearing, "haircut!"  Daddy has tried explaining to him, that while his hair might be out of place, his haircut is still just fine, but Kaden seems to disagree.

A little donut on the pillow

Yesterday Kaden brought a half eaten donut in a zip lock bag up to nap with him.  It seems to me that he doesn't trust us to be left with some of these things, so he's taking them up to his bed to keep them safe.

Trick or Treat!

This is the end of the night- they are blowing out the candle. Snuggie in hand, Mackinna is tired.
Kaden after trick or treating - make up part way off. Some came off as his free icecream from DQ melted on him, the rest I tried to wipe off until he thru a fit.
Kaden's scary pumpkin
Trick or Treating at Katie, Dan & Nicholas' house.
Across the street they had a whole spooky scene. Surprisingly Mackinna didn't seem to phased by it.
Check out the spooky moon for trick or treating. I took this in the driveway as we were getting ready to leave.

Canvasing for no on one

The Wiggles

We went to see the Wiggles Go Bananas. All day the kids were so excited! When we finished getting dressed Kaden asked, "Wiggles?" And again when we were getting ready to go to the Dr's for flu vaccines, and again when we went to dance class. It was such a fun time. Here are a few pictures.

Murray came right up into the crowd and walked past Mark & the Kids, Mackinna got scared and ran to my lap.

Halloween at school & Main St

Grandma Campbell made the most beautiful Max & Ruby costumes for the kids this year. Mackinna got to put it to great use, dressing up 4 days in a row. Wednesday for her school parade & party, Thursday for dance class, Friday for Halloween on Main St and obviously tonight for trick or treating. Here are some pictures from Wed & Fri. (Kaden joined in for the school parade)

A good babysitter

Mackinna must have asked Lucy to babysit Salice tonight.

And to bed

We had a great night at the Wiggles go bananas.  I will post pictures soon.  There was no intermission at the show though,so the kids did not get the Civic Center food that was promised to them, instead we stopped on the way home and got them candy.  Kaden ate a good amount of "Kids" (Sour patch kids), then we put the remainder in a zip lock bag, which... HE INSISTED ON BRINGING TO BED WITH HIM.  Suddenly clutching the wallet, cell phone or football to fall asleep seem nearly normal compared to a zip lock bag of candy.

Today's nap time companion

Today Kaden took his cell phone to nap with him.
